1. Mix Metals
Once a faux-pas, mixing metals is a modern and excellent way to achieve a personalized look unique to your own style. This gives you the freedom to display your favourite pieces regardless of their finish, including pieces from any era!

2. Faux Marble
The faux marble tile trend will continue to be strong in 2018. It works in both modern (large format tiles are a great fit for a modern space) and traditional spaces and offers a high-end look without the high-end price tag, something everyone can appreciate!

3. Black Cabinetry
Just like classic white cabinetry, black is also a classic neutral, and a style we expect to explode in 2018. It’s a fantastic way to create drama in a kitchen or bathroom without commiting to a colour, since cabinets cannot be easily switched out or repainted. Not sure if it will go? Pairing black cabinetry with white countertops and a wood grain upper cabinet looks stunning and straight out of a magazine.

4. Mixing Neutrals
A common perception is that you cannot combine different neutrals in one space. I am a firm believer that this is one rule meant to be broken! Sticking with one neutral color throughout a space can risk becoming boring, and that’s the last thing you want in your home. Warm greys look amazing with whites, creams, and browns. Don’t be afraid to experiment and play around with layering these colors with textiles, accessories, and wall color.

5. Indoor Jungle
Real indoor plants (and lots of them!) are one of the biggest trends we have seen in 2017 and will continue to see in 2018. Not only are they great for air purification, but a plant is a timeless accessory that can help with the 'winter blues' when we are lacking green in our life. Plus, there is something so rewarding about keeping plants alive and thriving!
